Curiosity is one of the few habits that makes every future version of you more capable.
Curiosity compounds.
Every question honestly pursued makes the next one easier to ask. The people who keep growing are rarely the smartest in the room; they are the ones who never stopped being interested.
The more questions you ask, the more patterns you start to see. One idea connects to another. One field explains another. A small question becomes a better question, and the better question eventually changes how you see the world.
Curiosity also protects against stagnation. It keeps a person from becoming too comfortable with what they already know. That is why I wrote about paying attention to change in Technology Is Easy to Miss and why curiosity matters so much in AI Is Here to Stay.
This is why I value curiosity so much. It is not trivia. It is momentum. Every honest question pursued makes the next question easier to ask, and every useful failure gives the next question better shape.
